Solar
Richmond gives customers the opportunity to go solar in a socially responsible way that creates jobs for underemployed local
residents. For commercial (business and non-profit) customers throughout
the Bay Area, Solar Richmond conducts site visits and approximates solar-electric system options that meet your needs. By
working with Solar Richmond, you not only receive solar consulting, but you're also supporting green economic
development. You will reduce your carbon footprint and save money on energy bills, while providing an opportunity for
our well-trained program graduates to deepen their experience in the solar industry.
For homeowners interested in going solar in a socially responsible way, Solar Richmond has entered
into an exciting new partnership with the residential solar group purchasing company One Block Off the Grid (1BOG) and groSolar,
a solar installation company. Bay Area 1BOG solar customers can now support a graduate of Solar Richmond’s
green-collar jobs training program when going solar. The opt-in program provides our green-collar graduates with two days
of hands-on training, assisting groSolar's expert crew on home installations. To participate, 1BOG members pay a
small, tax-deductible donation of $112, which both 1BOG and groSolar match.
